Rachael’s Memorial 5K To Deliver Clear Message Of Hope For Speech and Language Disorder Community
Family honoring child’s passionate support of speech pathology and family services with charity race
AUBURN, MA — Rachael’s Memorial 5K Run will take place on December 1, 2024 at 12:00 PM at Auburn Elks, 754 Southbridge St, Auburn, MA. Hosted by Children Across America and organized by the Johnson family, the event honors the life and legacy of Rachael Johnson, who bravely battled AML, an aggressive form of leukemia. Participants are invited to run, walk, or attend in support.
The memorial run reflects Rachael’s dedication to speech pathology and family services. She was passionate about helping children, especially those facing developmental challenges, and committed her life to advocacy and compassionate care. The event continues that commitment by supporting causes that were close to her heart.
“The Johnson family shares our same passion in creating community and changing lives for the better,” said Ray Fellows, Founder and Executive Director of Children Across America. “When they needed help bringing their vision to life, we were more than happy to answer the call.“
Proceeds will raise awareness for speech pathology and benefit Auburn Youth and Family Services. Funds will help strengthen programs that support youth and families, promote communication access, and provide essential local resources.
Registration is open to runners, walkers, and community supporters on racewire.com. Sponsorship opportunities are also available, with recognition offered throughout the year. Community members are encouraged to take part and honor Rachael’s legacy through participation and support.
Children Across America is a 501C3 nonprofit organization, making all contributions tax deductible as per IRS guidelines.
