In 2007, Ray gathered a small group of neighbors in Milford, Massachusetts with one goal: give underserved children a real chance to thrive. Inspired by his grandmother's encouragement and support, he secured the organization's 501(c)(3) status that same year and partnered with the Milford school superintendent to build CAA's first literacy and math programs. Today, as Executive Director, Ray still leads with that same founding vision.

As CEO, Vanessa leads Children Across America's mission and team. She previously served as the organization's Creative Director, where she created Belle, CAA's beloved safety mascot who helps introduce young learners to important safety lessons.
