Our History
Children Across America had its beginnings in 2007 in Milford, Massachusetts, with only 6 members. The organization was founded by Ray Fellows (Executive Director) whose grandmother inspired him and gave him the funds needed to develop the first literacy and math programs for underserved children. Ray worked with the IRS for the organization’s 501C3 designation that same year. He met with the Milford School Superintendent Bob Tremblay to define the education need in the Milford community. Children Across America started with basic reading groups and have grown by now to incorporate education, medical and health support.
