Health Promotion in Motion: Providing Access to Quality Healthcare
Children Across America educates families on preventative health care. The emergency room is not your doctor. Your child needs immunizations per CDC guidelines, 6-month checkups, and an annual physical.
To that end, we go into local communities to help children and families obtain Mass Health coverage. All children in Massachusetts are entitled to free coverage and families can obtain coverage based on their income.
We partner with healthcare provider facilities and local organizations, like libraries, to spread the word about Mass Health and assist with obtaining coverage. We will come to your location at a specific time to help children and families complete the online application. We also become their health advocates, following up on all correspondence with the state to assure they receive the coverage they need. Once coverage has been approved, we connect the families with a local pediatrician.
